LYCON PINKINI Lightening Refining Treatment: Why Have It 10–14 Days After Your Brazilian?

Aug 31
3 min read

Your Brazilian wax removes the hair.

The LYCON PINKINI Lightening Refining Treatment is designed to work on what happens to the skin between waxes.

This is a separate professional vajacial treatment that I recommend around 10–14 days after a Brazilian wax, once the skin has had time to recover.

It is useful if you experience ingrown hairs, congestion, rough texture, dullness or dark marks around the bikini area.

What Is the PINKINI Lightening Refining Treatment?

This is a more intensive skin treatment than the skincare performed immediately after waxing.

Depending on the condition of the skin, the treatment incorporates professional exfoliation with the PINKINI Refining Treatment, which contains alpha and beta hydroxy acids, alongside steam, extractions, ingrown-hair treatment, the PINKINI Intimate Mask and targeted brightening and moisturizing products.

The goal is smoother, clearer, more evenly toned skin between waxing appointments.

Why Wait 10–14 Days After Waxing?

Waxing removes hair from the follicle and also mechanically exfoliates the surface of the skin.

Immediately afterwards is not the time I want to aggressively exfoliate that same skin with stronger AHA/BHA products.

Waiting around 10–14 days allows the skin to recover before we perform a more intensive refining treatment.

It also happens to be an excellent point in the regrowth cycle for dealing with developing congestion and ingrown hairs before your next wax.

What Do AHAs and BHAs Actually Do?

Alpha hydroxy acids, or AHAs, work primarily on the surface of the skin, helping loosen accumulated dead cells and encourage smoother-looking skin.

They can improve dullness, rough texture and the appearance of superficial pigmentation over time.

Beta hydroxy acids, including salicylic acid, are oil-soluble and particularly useful around congested follicles.

That combination makes professional AHA/BHA exfoliation well suited to skin affected by ingrowns and post-hair-removal congestion.

What Does “Lightening” Mean?

This treatment is not designed to bleach your natural skin colour.

When we're talking about lightening or brightening within this treatment, we're talking about improving the appearance of uneven pigmentation and dark marks.

Repeated ingrown hairs, inflammation and friction can leave darker areas behind.

The treatment aims to improve skin turnover and gradually create a clearer, brighter and more even appearance.

Your natural skin colour is not the problem we're trying to solve.

What Happens During the Treatment?

The area is first professionally cleansed.

The appropriate exfoliating treatment is then applied according to the condition of the skin.

Steam or warm towels can be used to soften the skin and prepare suitable ingrown hairs and blocked follicles for extractions.

After extractions, the skin is cleansed again and treated with LYCON ingrown-hair products.

The PINKINI Intimate Mask is then applied to soothe, hydrate and condition the skin after the exfoliation and extraction stages.

The treatment is finished with PINKINI Lightening Serum and moisturising products selected to support the skin.

Who Is This Treatment Best For?

I particularly recommend it if you have:

  • Recurring ingrown hairs

  • Dark marks left from previous ingrowns

  • Uneven-looking pigmentation

  • Rough bikini-line texture

  • Congested follicles

  • Blackheads around the waxed area

  • Dull or dry-looking skin

  • Skin that never seems completely clear between waxes

Is One Treatment Enough?

You can see smoother, fresher skin after one treatment, but pigmentation and recurring ingrown hairs are not usually one-treatment concerns.

Consistency matters.

For clients with persistent pigmentation or congestion, treatments can be incorporated regularly between waxing appointments alongside appropriate home care.

Why Combine It With Regular Brazilian Waxing?

Waxing and skin treatment are doing two different jobs.

Waxing controls the hair.

The Lightening Refining Treatment works on the skin conditions that can develop around repeated hair removal.

When those two are managed together, the Brazilian area generally stays smoother, clearer and easier to maintain.

Final Take

If your only concern is unwanted hair, you may only need your Brazilian wax.

If you also deal with pigmentation, ingrown hairs, congestion or uneven texture, the PINKINI Lightening Refining Treatment addresses the part waxing alone cannot.

I recommend booking it around 10–14 days after your Brazilian, giving us a dedicated appointment to treat the skin properly between waxes.
