Regular Brazilian Wax vs Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian: What’s the Difference?

3 min read

A regular Brazilian wax and an Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian both remove unwanted hair, but that is where the similarity ends.

A standard Brazilian is a hair-removal service.

The Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian combines a professional LYCON Brazilian wax with additional skin preparation, ingrown-hair care, extractions and post-wax hydration.

I use LYCON products throughout the entire service, including the professional PINKINI range developed specifically for Brazilian waxing and intimate-area skincare.

What Happens During a Regular Brazilian Wax?

A regular Brazilian focuses on removing the hair cleanly and comfortably.

The skin is prepared, LYCON Pre-Waxing Oil is applied and the hair is removed using professional LYCON hot wax.

After waxing, the skin is cleansed and appropriate post-wax products are applied to calm and moisturise the area.

If your skin is generally clear, you rarely experience ingrown hairs and you simply want your Brazilian wax maintained, a regular Brazilian may be all you need.

What Happens During the Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian?

The Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian is much more.

We begin by cleansing the area and gently exfoliating the skin.

Steam is then used to soften the skin and follicles before I carefully extract accessible ingrown hairs and blocked follicles.

I apply LYCON PINKINI Pre-Waxing Oil before performing the Brazilian wax itself.

Once waxing is complete, the skin receives targeted ingrown-hair treatment followed by the PINKINI Intimate Mask, which is left on to soothe, hydrate and condition the freshly treated skin.

The treatment is finished with further ingrown-hair care and nourishing aftercare oil.

So rather than treating the hair alone, we're also paying attention to the condition of the skin underneath it.

Why Do Extractions Matter?

Ingrown hairs occur when hair becomes trapped beneath or within the skin rather than growing normally through the follicle opening.

Dead skin, congestion and repeated hair removal can all contribute.

Where an ingrown hair is suitable for extraction, professionally clearing it can immediately improve congestion and reduce the temptation to dig at it yourself.

And yes, I know people do it.

A sterilised professional extraction is considerably better than bathroom tweezers, fingernails and optimism.

Why Use Steam Before Extractions?

Steam helps soften the surface of the skin before extractions.

We also use Ozone in our steamers which has antibacterial properties.

This makes suitable congestion easier to work with and allows the extraction portion of the treatment to be performed more gently.

It also gives the service more of a facial-treatment approach rather than treating the Brazilian area as if the skin somehow stops requiring skincare because it happens to be under your underwear.

Why Use a Mask After Brazilian Waxing?

Freshly waxed skin has just undergone mechanical exfoliation as well as hair removal.

The PINKINI Intimate Mask is used after waxing to soothe, hydrate and condition the area.

Hydrated, flexible skin is also less likely to allow new hairs to become trapped as easily as very dry, rough skin.

That is why good Brazilian aftercare isn't only about stopping irritation for the next 24 hours. The condition of the skin between waxes matters too.

Who Is the Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian Best For?

I recommend it if you experience:

  • Regular ingrown hairs

  • Blocked follicles

  • Blackheads or congestion around the Brazilian area

  • Rough or dry skin

  • Post-wax bumps

  • Skin that needs more attention than a basic wax provides

  • A tendency to pick or dig at ingrowns at home

It's also simply a good option if you want your Brazilian appointment to include proper skin treatment rather than hair removal alone.

Do I Need the Ultimate Brazilian Every Time?

Not necessarily.

Some clients will benefit from having it regularly because they are naturally prone to ingrowns and congestion.

Others might alternate between a regular Brazilian and the Ultimate treatment depending on what their skin is doing.

Skin isn't static. Your treatment doesn't have to be either.

What the Ultimate Brazilian Does NOT Include

The Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian does not include the stronger PINKINI AHA/BHA Refining Treatment on freshly waxed skin.

That is a separate treatment performed between waxing appointments once the skin has recovered.

If pigmentation, persistent ingrowns, dullness or uneven texture are your main concerns, that is where the PINKINI Lightening Refining Treatment comes in.

Final Take

A regular Brazilian removes the hair.

The Ultimate Pinkini Brazilian removes the hair and treats the skin around the service.

If your skin is already clear and happy, a standard Brazilian may be perfectly adequate.

If you struggle with ingrowns, congestion or roughness, or you simply want more complete intimate skincare, the Ultimate is the better option.
